Welcome to our latest update roundup! We are so grateful to share how the Lord has been working in and through the Back to the Bible Mission (BBM) family over the past weeks. From training future ministry leaders to welcoming longtime prayer partners and hardworking volunteer teams, here is what has been happening on the ground.
1. Faithful Training and Joyful Worship (27 August 2026)
Our recent days have been filled with vibrant worship, deep community, and sound biblical instruction.
- Joyful Praise: Our first-year students sang with great joy! Every year group had a turn to lead and minister to our hearts.
- Pretoria Prayer Partners: It was wonderful and comforting to gather and worship alongside our dedicated prayer partners from Pretoria.
- Homiletics Highlights: Three brilliant first-year students delivered powerful sermons during our Homiletics Monday evening class.
- Weekly Mission Training: Scripturally sound mission training takes place weekly for our MC2 first-year students as we work toward reaching Africa for Jesus. Thank you, Lord!
- Fellowship & Prayer: Shai & Elreza shared their testimony and asked for prayer while Frikkie preached at Kosmos.

2. Celebrating Milestones and Ongoing Needs (19 August 2025)
Looking back at our journey, God’s grace continues to sustain our staff, students, and outreach initiatives.
- Campus Crusade Fellowship: Campus Crusade missionaries shared a meal with BBM staff during our weekly gathering.
- Recording Praises: We thank the Lord that our 16th USB drive—featuring 16 recorded songs by Eugene Pienaar—is complete! May God bless him.
- Leadership Development: We praise God that our first-year students are thoroughly enjoying their training this year. We pray for rich blessings upon their growth.
- Special Celebrations: What a joy to fulfill Takura & Patience’s wish to baptize their baby daughter, Debora!
- Cherished Friendships: Bella, Elreza, Retha, and Elna—lifelong friends—enjoyed time together taking in the autumn colors and serving in projects for the Lord.
- Honoring Our Past: Looking at photos of BBM staff from years past reminds us of God’s enduring faithfulness through every season.
Prayer Request:
Kneel with us as we pray for holiness, humility, diligence, and God’s gracious intervention in our current financial challenges. We trust Him completely!
3. Dedicated Volunteers and Ministry Growth (23 July 2026)
Our ministry thrives through the selfless work of volunteers, partners, and former students returning to share their gifts.
- Fasting & Prayer: For many years, Bishop Adane and his team have come to host prayer and fasting sessions with us. He will return soon as we trust Almighty God for breakthroughs.
- Precious Visits: What great joy to have a brief visit with our oldest children from George, even amidst the sadness of a funeral.
- Local Community Support: Jacques Heskes, who assists us with two beehives, generously donated 10 blankets for which we are deeply grateful!
- Hard Work on Campus: Our team put in diligent holiday garden work—we are so proud of everyone’s hard work!
- Secunda Oos Volunteer Team: We joyfully welcomed a team from Secunda Oos who came to repair damaged infrastructure. May the Lord richly bless them!
- Longstanding Supporters: A faithful church in Middelburg has supported Back to the Bible Mission for many years. May God awaken even more congregations to support the great mission calling!
- Equipping the Saints: Dr. Suzette Theron, our dear prayer friend now living in Stilbaai, sent her doctoral thesis in book form (Walk in the Light). We plan to offer it here and thank God for our alumni!

Heavenly Father, we desire to live continuously in Your presence. Bring joy to the hearts that have been broken for us, and cover everyone at Back to the Bible Mission.
