Welcome to our combined newsletter update! God continues to work powerfully through the Back to the Bible Mission (BBM) family, using dedicated teams, faithful friends, and local communities to further His kingdom. Here is a look at what He has been doing through our ministry, along with how you can pray with us.
Faithful Partnerships & Spiritual Growth
- Prayer and Fasting: For many years, Bishop Adane and his team have joined us to lead seasons of prayer and fasting. We eagerly anticipate his next visit as we trust God for miraculous breakthroughs across our ministry.
- Kingdom Training Materials: Our dear prayer partner and alumna, Dr. Suzette Theron (now residing in Stilbaai), sent us her doctoral dissertation in book form, titled “WALK IN THE LIGHT”. We thank God for our alumni and plan to offer this valuable material here at the mission.
- Student & Team Discipleship: We praise the Lord that our first-year students continue to thrive in their training (including participation in events like the REACH Leaders Summit). We ask for continued prayers for rich blessings over their education.
- Music Ministry: We thank God for Eugene Pienaar, who recorded our 16th USB drive featuring 16 inspirational songs to bless our community!
Community, Practical Help & Loving Service
- Practical Repairs & Maintenance: We recently welcomed a wonderful team from Secunda East who helped repair broken facilities across our campus. Meanwhile, our team stayed busy with hard garden work during the holiday, and Jacques Heskes—who manages two beehives for us—generously secured 10 warm blankets for our mission family.
- Fellowship in Every Season: From hosting Campus Crusade missionaries for our weekly meals, to sharing sweet moments among lifelong friends (Bella, Elreza, Retha, and Elna), God continuously surrounds us with community. We were also blessed to fulfill Takura and Patience’s wish to baptize their baby daughter, Debora, and were comforted by a brief visit with our oldest children from George during a recent funeral.
- Longstanding Church Support: We extend our heartfelt thanks to the congregation in Middelburg for their years of faithful support, praying that God inspires even more churches to step up and support global missions.
Current Prayer Requests
We ask our supporters to stand in agreement with us for the following needs:
- Living in God’s Presence: That our lives bring joy to the Savior who was broken for us, and that our staff walks in holiness, humility, and diligence.
- Financial Breakthrough: We ask for God’s gracious, divine intervention in our ongoing financial hardships.
- More Volunteer Teams: Pray that the Lord sends additional practical work teams to help maintain and rebuild the mission facilities.
